Why choose wool for your child?
Wool has many good properties that are beneficial in several ways.

Wool is temperature-regulating and water-absorbent. Wool consists of very fine and crimped fibers that form insulating air pockets. The small air pockets help to absorb and trap moisture evaporated from the body and act as an additional layer of warmth that helps maintain body temperature. Wool can absorb up to 35% of its own weight in water without feeling wet, which makes wool a material that can be used all year round.

Småfolk wool is easy to clean. A good property of wool is that it is self-cleaning. Wool naturally contains lanolin, which combines with moisture and salts from the skin (or urine) and saponifies, causing sweat odors to disappear. We recommend hanging the wool to air out or over the back of a chair and not washing it unless the clothing is already dirty. Småfolk wool has undergone an easy-care treatment, so it can be washed normally in a washing machine. Småfolk recommends washing with detergents specifically designed for wool care. The raw wool is 100% mulesing-free. The wool is treated and processed according to Oeko-Tex Standard 100.
